The Japanese Educational, Culture, Sports and Science Ministry conducted a survey, asking over 2,700 professors and scientists about their expectations on scientific discoveries in the future. The results showed that in 20 years there will be a cure for AIDS and cancer, robots will wash our dishes and clothes, high-speed trains will be the most common means of transport, a space base for scientific research will be built on the Moon and people will travel freely to Mars. So, we can all hope for a far brighter future in the yellow fields of Mother Mars!
