Founded in 1926 the International Music Festival Varna is held every year in June-July since then. The festival has won international recognition and become a distinct member of the European Festival Association. Through the years the festival has become a favorite meeting place and stage for both already famous and young artists from all European countries.
Many foreign soloists, conductors, opera ensembles and ballet companies will again take part in this year’s edition of the festival. Its opening is scheduled for the 18th of June and from that date on every day there are to be held different happenings for music lovers. Philharmonic and symphony orchestras, chamber and mixed choirs, piano, flute, cello and clarinet concerts, classical and even electronic music- all is gathered in Varna for these two months every year. Tickets are available at prices of 10 to 15 EUR at the Festival and Congress Center, Drama Theater “Stoyan Bachvarov”, Art Gallery “Boris Georgiev” and the Archeological Museum.
